ARCHS Group resumed work in Iraq in 2004, worked with the following foreign companies:-

  • Rotary International / Civil & MEP construction to ancillary and services buildings for British
    Embassy in Green Zone in Baghdad and British consulate in Basra. Total value of the contract 35
    million USD.
  • ABB / infra-structure substation equipment, mobile substations and transmission spare parts
    supply to North transmission directorate, Upper Euphrates directorate and South Transmission
    directorate. Total contract values around 75 million USD.
  • MITAS / overhead transmission line supply, installation, testing and commissioning. Total value
    of contract 15 million USD.
  • Siemens AG / Civil and MEP material supply and construction, Electro-mechanical equipment
    installation, testing and commissioning. Total value of contract 14.6 million USD.
  • KontrolMatik / infra- structure mobile substation equipment supply to South transmission
    company in Basra. Total value of contract 13 million USD.

Foreign companies role Engineering, procurement of imported material and the supervision of the site construction work, testing and commissioning work, while ARCHS role is to provide-

  • Logistics, transportation, security to imported equipment and material.
  • Local construction material, imported MEP material supply and the construction work on site
    using local Engineers, technicians, skilled and unskilled labour’s.
  • Electro-mechanical installation testing and commissioning using local Engineers, technicians and
    skilled labour’s.
  • Handing over the finished project to clients in Iraq.
