Our History.

Established in 1950 by Ali Charchafchi, Archs has grown into a multinational organization run by the Charchafchi Family. We are driven to meet customers’ needs across a wide range of activities from Construction, Power & Water Treatment, IT/Telecoms, Security, Interior Design, Property Asset Management & Fast Moving Consumer Goods.
1952
Family Trading Business
The establishment of the family business in trading and real estate.
1965
JV Cosley Building Company
A JV with Cosley to build warehouse sites for the governmental ministers, including the ministries of trade, agriculture and defense.
1970
JV with National Groundbizet (agron)
Expanded warehouse construction by partnering with x and built the largest warehouse of 350K square meters.
1976
Construction of factories
The establishment of a ready-made clothes factory in Baghdad for clothing manufacturing and distribution.
1977
Contraction of mill factories
Built the infrastructure and imported the machinery necessary for mill production and distribution/
1978
Construction of asbestos factories
Ministry of industry, Basra/
1985
Reem Biscuit factories
Unlike the other factories, which served a functional purpose to governments and ministries, the establishment of Al Reem factories was for the family. (wholly-owned)
1987
Working with Racal (Vodafone) later
Supply and established a network/infrastructure of wireless communication equipment through developed technologies and supplied the ministry of interior.
2003
Zain Iraq Telecom
One of the founding equity partners in Zain Iraq Telecom.
2003
Yara Capital Real estate Investment Management Company
Yara Capital was established.
2008
La petite Maison Hotel
Built our first hotel in Baghdad, Iraq.
2013
Tawasul
We expanded into a new industry; FMCG distribution business.
